Ramsey Bend South Trail

| Part of the Ramsey
Bluff Mountain Bike System, the 1.8 mile Ramsey Bend South Trail is
available for both hiking and biking. Located within Hanging Dog Recreation
Area, Ramsey Bend South Trail begins along Ramsey
Bend North Trail. After leaving Ramsey Bend North Trail, Ramsey Bend
South Trail junctions with Notely River Connector
Trail, before continuing
to a 3 way split (all trails are Ramsey Bend South Trail), 0.18 mile from
the beginning. Bearing right, or traveling straight will form a 0.95 mile
loop from this point. Turning left will lead to no less than 3 additional
splits, again all the same trail. Caution should be taken to keep up with
your location if turning left. It can get confusing. |

Hanging Dog
Recreational Area may be reached by traveling along Joe Brown Highway
(NC 1326) from Murphy for 5 miles. Turn left at the Hanging Dog
Recreation Area Sign.
