Chestnut Mountain Trail
Cherokee National Forest
Traveling up the mountain and through the woods to the
ridge, the 1.9 mile Chestnut Mountain Trail ends at the Wolf Ridge Trail
and is rated Moderate.
Trail Number 63, Chestnut Mountain Trail follows the Cohutta Wilderness
boundary.

Directions:
From the Ocoee Ranger Station turn right onto Highway 64.
Travel about 4.8 miles to County Road 2330 (Cookson Creek Road). Turn left
and travel 3.5 miles to Forest Service Road 55. On Forest Service Road 55
travel 9.6 miles to Forest Service Road 221. Turn left on 221 and travel
about 1.5 miles. Turn right on Forest Service Road 62, and travel about 3
miles to trailhead on the left.
