Group Camping Trail

| Located within Crowders
Mountain State Park, the 0.4 mile Group Camping Trail is accessed via
the Pinacle Trail and provides access to the group backpack camping
area.
To reach Crowders Mountain State
Park from I-85 southbound, take exit 13 to Edgewood Road. Turn left onto
Edgewood Road, continue to the first stoplight and turn right onto
Franklin Boulevard (Highway 74). Follow Highway 74 for about 2 miles to
Sparrow Springs Road and turn left. Continue along Sparrow Springs Road
for less than a mile to the park entrance on the right. |

From I-85 northbound, take exit 8 and turn right onto NC 161. Follow NC
161 for about 0.25 mile and turn left onto Lake Montonia Road/Pinnacle
Road. Continue along Lake Montonia Road to it's end at Sparrow Springs.
Turn left onto Sparrow Springs Road and continue less than a mile to
Crowders Mountain State Park.
