Crowders Trail

| Located within Crowders
Mountain State Park, the 2.5 mile Crowders Trail begins at the Visitor
Center and travels to the Backside Trail.
Blazed with white diamonds, Crowders Trail is rated moderately strenuous.
To reach Crowders Mountain State Park from I-85 southbound, take exit
13 to Edgewood Road. Turn left onto Edgewood Road, continue to the first
stoplight and turn right onto Franklin Boulevard (Highway 74). Follow
Highway 74 for about 2 miles to Sparrow Springs Road and turn left.
Continue along Sparrow Springs Road for less than a mile to the park
entrance on the right. |

| From I-85 northbound, take exit 8
and turn right onto NC 161. Follow NC 161 for about 0.25 mile and turn
left onto Lake Montonia Road/Pinnacle Road. Continue along Lake Montonia
Road to it's end at Sparrow Springs. Turn left onto Sparrow Springs Road
and continue less than a mile to Crowders Mountain State Park. |
