Cross Creek Trail #2006

Available for hiking and horseback
riding, the 14 mile Cross Creek Trail begins following a ridge before
dropping down to Cross Creek. a bridge crossing is reached at 1 mile. At
mile 2, Mount of the Holy Cross is visible from the trail. at mile 6,
Cross Creek Trail intersects Grouse Mountain Trail
#2010. About 2 miles further Reed's Meadow, a long open meadow in a
glaciated valley is reached. The last few miles of the trail passes
through open meadows. Following an old wagon road to Treasure Vault Lake,
Cross Creek Trail intersects with Missouri Lakes Trail
#2003 and Fancy Pass Trail #2006. |

To reach Cross
Creek Trail from Vail Colorado, travel west along I-70 to exit 171 for
Minturn and Highway 24. Turn right onto Highway 24 and continue 5 miles,
passing through Minturn, to Tigiwon Road #707. Turn right and continue
about 2 miles to the trailhead on the right.
