Cove Creek Upper Group Camp
|
Located within the Pisgah National Forest, Cove Creek Upper
Group Camp is available for groups of up to 150 campers.
Services and Amenities available at Cove Creek Upper Group Camp
include a comfort station, fire rings, grills, lantern post,
picnic tables, vault toilet, water pump. Interpretive programs
may also be available.
Cove Creek Upper Group Camp is a pack it in - pack it out
facility and requires two creek crossings of Upper Cove Creek to
reach. Heavy rains may cause the creek to rise and may
temporarily make crossing impossible.
Reservations are required and must be made at least 4 days in
advance.
To reach Cove Creek Upper Group Camp from Asheville, North
Carolina, travel west along Highway 280 to US 64/280/US 276
intersection at Pisgah Forest and turn right (north) onto US
276. Continue along US 276 for 4.5 miles to Forest Road 475A and
turn left. Travel along FR 475A for 3 miles to the campground
entrance on right.
