Wagoner Road Access Area Campgrounds

Located within New
River State Park, Wagoner Road Access Area offers 10 primitive campsites and restroom
facilities with hot water showers. The campground may be reached via
canoe to a take-out ramp at the campground, or supplies may be carried
about 250 yards from the parking area. A group campsite is also
available within the Wagoner Road Access Area which can accommodate up
to 40 campers by reservation only. |

To reach the Wagoner Road Access of the New River State Park from I40
traveling west and I77 traveling north, go to US 421N. Continue along US
421N thru Wildesboro and turn right onto NC 16N toward Jefferson North
Carolina. Travel along NC 16N to NC 88 and turn right. Continue along NC
88 about 1.5 miles and turn left onto Wagoner Access Road.
