State Forest is home to the 35 acre Benedict Pond and offers a large
variety of facilities and recreational opportunities including camping,
canoeing, boat ramp, fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding,
mountain biking, off-road vehicles, picnicking, cross-country skiing,
swimming and restrooms.
To reach Beartown State Forest from Monterey Massachusetts, travel
along Blue Hill Road and follow directional signs to the entrance on
Benedict Pond Road.
