Maryland Wildlife Management Areas

Indian Springs Wildlife Management Area

Located within Washington County Maryland, 6,400 acre Indian Springs WMA is home to Blair's Valley Lake which serves as a popular fishing spot. Once serving as a Civil War signal post (Fairview Mountain), Indian Springs Wildlife Management Area now host Field Trials 6 times a year. In addition to the scheduled events and historic sites, Indian Springs WMA also offers the opportunity for hiking and hunting.

To reach Indian Springs Wildlife Management Area from I-70, exit Clear Spring exit and travel north along Route 68, crossing Old Route 40 and bear left onto Mill Street.

Continue along Mill Street to the fork and bear right onto Broadfording Road. Continue east along Broadfording Road for 1 mile and turn left onto Blair's Valley Road. Travel about 3 miles along Blair's Valley Road to the entrance.
