Poplar Lick Trail
Beginning in New Germany State Park, the 6 mile Poplar Lick Trail travels to and ends at Savage River State Forest. Available for hiking, biking and ORV's, Poplar Lick Trail offers 13 stream crossings, but only has 5 bridges as it travels along the remains of a CCC roadway which was constructed in 1934. New Germany State Park is located 5 miles southeast of Grantsville Maryland in the heart of Savage River State Forest.
Savage River State Forest is located off I-68.
