Wolfe County Kentucky Hiking Trails

Wildcat Trail

 

Located within the Cliffty Wilderness section of the Daniel Boone National Forest, the 1 mile Wildcat Trail #228 travels along an abandoned logging road. After traveling down a ridge, Wildcat Trail connects with Swift Camp Creek Trail #219.

Wildcat Trail is available for hiking only, year round.

To reach Wildcat Trail from Mountain Parkway at Slade, Kentucky, Follow Highway 11 north for 0.1 mile to Highway 15. Turn right onto Highway 15 and continue east 7 miles to Highway 715 and turn left. Follow Highway 715 for 2.7 miles to the Wildcat Trail parking area on the left. Wildcat Trail begins along the opposite side of the road.

From Pine Ridge, exit Mountain Parkway and travel west along Highway 15 to Highway 715 and turn right. Continue along Highway 715 for 2.7 miles to the parking area.
