Holloway Draft Trail is part of the Shenandoah Mountain Horse Trail System.
Located within George
Washington and Jefferson National Forests, the 4.5 mile Holloway Draft
Trail is FDR 173 and travels to the top of Shenandoah Mountain.
Riders should be aware that there are two cattle guards on the road through
private land within 1 mile of VA Route 629 preventing livestock from
gaining access to the National Forest. It is approximately 4.5 miles from the
last cattle guard to the top of Shenandoah Mountain. It is an additional 1.3
miles down the west side of the mountain to the Benson Run
Trail. |
