Trimble Mountain Trail

George Washington and Jefferson National Forests

Length: 4.0 mile loop

The Trimble Mountain Trail is a 4-mile loop offering excellent views of Reddish Knob and Shenandoah Mountain as well as wildlife viewing opportunities. The trail begins on the south side of FDR 95 about .25 mile east of the Todd Lake Recreation Area entrance. 


From Bridgewater, take US 42 for 3 miles south to Mossy Creek. Take SR 747 for 3 miles west to Mt. Solon. Take SR 731 north about 1 mile. Turn left onto SR 730 and follow it for 3 miles to the Stokesville junction. Turn right and take SR 718 for 1 mile to FDR 95. Take FDR 95 for 2 miles to the Todd Lake turn-off. The trail begins on the south side of FDR 95 about .25 mile east of the Todd Lake Recreation Area entrance.
