Amherst County Virginia Hiking Trails

Piney Ridge Trail

 

Following Piney Ridge between Snow Creek and Peters Creek, the 3.5 mile Piney Ridge Trail enters the James River Face Wilderness at about 1.8 miles. Piney Ridge Trail ends at it's intersection with the Sulphur Springs Trail, about 125 feet north of the Appalachian Trail in the Marble Spring area.

Directions:

Drive SE on US 501 from Glasgow Virginia and turn onto FR 54. Travel about 0.6 miles and bear right (uphill) onto the gravel logging road. Trailhead parking is located about 500 feet up the logging road.
