Bluestone Wildlife Management Area
adjacent to Bluestone State Park
Length: 1.25 miles
A
steep incline that rises 780 feet from Bertha camping area to Barton Ridge
road. Overlooks Bluestone Lake.
Warnings
Bluestone
WMA’s trails lead to many natural hazards associated with remote areas.
Loose stones, uneven terrain, noxious vegetation and several miles
follow the New River.
This is a public hunting area and during various seasons trail
users should wear blazed orange for their safety.

Directions: To Bluestone
State Park
Take exit 139 (Sandstone/Hinton) off Interstate 64 to
WV 20 South, and drive 15 miles to the park.
From the south on Interstate 77, take the Athens Road Exit (exit 14) to WV
20 North, and travel 22 miles to the park.
