Trails Cross Country Skiing Campgrounds Waterfalls

Central Trail Length: 5.0 miles Rating: From Batt Picnic Area, near Cabin 1, Cabin 10, or from either log cabin area road. Elevation at Batt Picnic Area is 1200 feet. Points of interest are Bear Den Rocks and a nearby crag which overlooks the broad valley between Cacapon and Sleepy Creek Mountains. This trail crosses the east side of Cacapon Mountain, the North and Middle Forks of Indian Run and passes through mixed hardwoods, pines, blueberry bushes and various flowering plants. Walking time 3 hours (Can be shortened by use of park roads)
Directions: From the north on Interstate 81 (Winchester, VA) take U.S. Route 522 north 27 miles to the park. From the north on Interstate 81 (Pennsylvania) take Interstate 70 west to Hancock, MD then U.S. Route 522 south at Hancock, towards Berkeley Springs. The park is located 9 miles south from the town of Berkeley Springs.
