Maui County Hawaii Waterfalls

Upper Waikani Falls

Located at mile marker 19.5 along the Hana Highway on Maui, the 70' Upper Waikani Falls is also known as "Three Bears Falls". Made up of 3 separate side-by-side waterfalls during lower flows, Upper Waikani Falls becomes one large falls after heavy rains. Due to it's beauty and easy to view location Upper Waikani Falls is extremely popular and can be very crowded as several tour buses stop here.

A trail is available down to the base of Upper Waikani Falls, but this trail may be slippery and muddy. Leading to the base of the falls the hiker is rewarded with a less crowded view and the pool at the base of the falls for swimming (if the water flow is not high).
