Kaiwa Ridge Trail

Available for hiking and biking, the 1 mile Kaiwa Ridge
Trail gains 600' in elevation as it climbs up the ridge behind Lanikai on
the windward side of Oahu. Traveling through coastal vegetation, Kaiwa
Ridge Trail ends at a WWII bunker and offers great 360° views of Kailua,
the Mokaluas and the Koolau Mountains.
To reach Kaiwa Ridge Trail from Honolulu, turn right onto Kailua Road
from Kalanianaole Highway. Continue along Kailua Road through Kailua to
Kalaheo Road. turn right. Travel past Kailua Beach Park to Aalapapa Drive
and travel along the right fork to Kaelepulu Drive. Turn right onto
Kaelepulu Drive to the parking turnout on the right near Mid Pacific
Country Club.
