The
1.5 mile Balsam Fir Trail begins at the basketball court near the Recreation Building and
winds through beech and maple groves and passes trough a stand of balsam
fir. Balsam
Fir Trail then loops back to the
Recreation Building by way of the campground.
Beginning to advanced to cross country skiing.

Directions:
Blackwater Falls is accessible from the south by U.S.
33 to Harmon, then WV Rt. 32 north to the park. From the north, take U.S.
Rt. 219 to Thomas, then Rt. 32 south to the park.
