| Twenty miles of trails are available within
Cockaponset State Forest.
Two trails are for hiking only, while the others are multi-use trails,
available for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing
and horseback riders.
To reach the Pattaconk Recreation Area from Middletown area, travel
south along Route 9, exit 6. Turn right off the exit ramp and travel
west along Route 148 for about 2 miles and turn right onto Cedar Lake
Road. Continue along Cedar Lake Road for 2 miles and turn left at the
Pattaconk Lake sign. |
