Available for hiking, biking, ATV's, motorcycle
and horseback
riding, the 10.2 mile Nipple Peak Trail begins (east end) on a jeep
road FR 047 and climbs to the divide between Hahns Peek and Slater Park on
the west side. Turning into a single track, Nipple Peak Trail widens again
at Oliver Creek and allowing for ATV's on the west end.

Nipple Peak Trail offers 2 access points:
- From Steamboat, travel 2 miles west along Highway 40 and turn right
onto CR 129. Continue along CR 129 for 33 miles to just past the Summit
Creek guard station. Turn left onto FR 047.
- To reach the west end of Nipple Peak Trail, travel west along US 40
for 24 miles to Hayden Colorado. Turn right onto CR 80 to California
Park, 20 miles. Continue through California Park to Slater Park. Turn
right onto FR 156 to the trailhead.
