Routt National Forest
Available for hiking, biking, ATVs, motorcycles and
horseback riding, the 13.3 mile Morrison Divide Trail travels through
sagebrush covered meadows for the first 0.5 miles before traveling
southwesterly up a small hill, then down to Muddy Creek at mile 1.1.
Turning east, Morrison Divide Trail gradually ascends to an elevation of
8,600'. Dropping down Clear Creek, the trail then travels back up the east
slope of Green Ridge via several switchbacks. Upon reaching the ridge top
(elevation 10,258') the trail reaches Muddy Slide from the north. |
