Available for hiking and horseback riding,
the 6.4 mile Lost Lakes Trail begins adjacent to Round Lake. Traveling
west towards the Lost Lakes Peak, Lost Lakes Trail reaches Long Lake at
0.7 miles. Skirting along the shore of Long Lake, Lost Lakes Trail turns
northerly to begin a short steep ascent of a protruding ridge at mile 1.
Reaching East Lost Lake at mile 1.7, the trail continues past a small lake
at mile 3. Continuing in an easterly direction, the trail begins to follow
the West Fork of the Williams Fork River. |

Lost Lakes Trail offers 2 access points:
- Travel 6.4 miles west along CR7 from Yampa Colorado to FR 900.
Continue along FR900 for 8.6 miles to Stillwater Reservoir parking and
the East Fork Trail. Follow East Fork Trail north to Round Lake and Lost
Lakes Trail, 6.4 miles.
- Follow CR 17 north, then 132 west to Forest Highway 16 to Pyramid
Guard Station, 18 miles. Follow East Fork Trail south 3.2 miles to Lost
Lakes Trail.
