Forest
Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 0.35 mile Lake of The Woods Trail provides access to Lake of the
Woods for fishing. The last 0.25 mile of the trail is within Flat Tops
Wilderness after crossing the Whit River.
To reach Lake of the Woods Trail from Meeker Colorado, travel east along CO 13
for a mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8 for 39 miles and
turn south onto Trapper Lake Road (FR 205). Travel 7 miles along FR 205,
Lake of the Woods Trailhead is on the south side of the road 0.5 mile
below Skinny Fish Creek.
