Hill Creek Trail #2255

Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 4.3 mile Hill Creek Trail begins on the east side of the campground
following Hill Creek for 0.5 miles before fording the creek to the north
side. After passing through a scrub oak covered hillside for 0.25 mile,
the trail follows a bench above Hill Creek through aspen groves and
grassy parks. Hill Creek Trail has several steep, rocky stretches that
may be difficult for horses or hikers. Flat Tops Wilderness is entered
3.5 miles for the trailhead before reaching Oyster Lake Trail
#1825 0.5 mile later.

To reach Hill Creek Trail from Meeker Colorado, travel east along CO 13
for a mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8 for 18 miles and
turn south onto CR 10. Travel 2 miles along CR 10, jog north for 0.25
mile, then east for 9 miles and turn north onto FR 236. Travel 1 mile
along FR 236 to the Hill Creek Trailhead.
