Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 6.5 mile Big Fish Trail leaves Himes Peak
Campground and crosses White River by foot/horse bridge, then enters
Flat Tops Wilderness and follows Big Fish Creek. Boulder Lake Trail
branches to the west 1.5 miles form the campground over the creek. Big
Fish trail ends at it's junction with Oyster Lake Trail.
To reach Himes Peak Campground from Meeker, travel east
along CO 13 for 1 mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8 for
39 miles and turn south onto Trappers Lake Road (FR 205). Travel 6 miles
along FR 205. Big Fish Trailhead is on the left before entering the
campground.
