Mt. Thomas Trail #1870, Pitkin County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available for both hiking and biking, the 9 mile Mt. Thomas Trail may be used to form a loop trail via connection with Reudi Trail. The long & challenging Mt. Thomas Trail provides views of Fryingpan & Eagle valley.

To reach Mt. Thomas Trail, travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt Colorado and turn left at the stoplight. Continue 22 miles towards Reudi Reservoir and turn left onto road #400, just past the bridge above Meredith.

After a steep climb the roads travels through Lime Park and on to the top of Crooked Creek Pass. Turn left onto a 4WD road just before the cattle guard, the road comes out to the power line. On the ridge top the trailhead sign is visible on the west side of the power line.
