Hell Roaring Trail #1960, Pitkin County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available to both Hikers & Horseback riders, the 6 mile Hell Roaring Trail begins up the Avalanche Creek Trail #1959 and is steep near the top. Views of Avalanche Creek and the Roaring Fork Valley are available near the ridge.

To reach Hell Roaring Trail from Carbondale Colorado, travel south along Highway 133 for 12.5 miles to Avalanche Creek and turn left. Continue 3 miles to Avalanche Creek Trailhead after the campground. Travel along Avalanche Creek Trail to it's junction with Hell Roaring Trail which branches off to the left just before the bridge.
