Fryingpan Lakes Trail #1921

Beginning at Nast (Horseshoe Bend), Fryingpan Lakes Trail
is fairly easy climb and parallels the Fryingpan River for 9 miles before
reaching the lakes. The trail may be shortened by taking road #505 and
hike the remaining 4 miles. To reach Fryingpan Lakes Trail
from Carbondale Colorado, travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt. Turn
left at the stoplight and travel 32 miles along the Fryingpan River. |

| When the pavement ends, turn right
onto road #505, past Horseshoe Bent Guest Ranch and continue until 505
dead-ends. The trailhead is located above the water division structure. |
