Capitol Creek Trail #1961, Pitkin County Colorado Hiking Trails

Located within Maroon Bells/Snowmass Wilderness the 1.5 mile Capitol Creek Trail begins 9 miles up Avalanche Creek Trail #1959, ends at the pass and is rated very difficult.

To reach Capitol Creek Trail from Carbondale Colorado travel south along Highway 133 for 12.5 miles to Avalanche Creek and turn left. Continue 2 miles to the parking area at the far end of Avalanche Campground.
