Pitkin County Colorado 4WD Trails
Koby Park #103 & #508
|

White
River National Forest
Used by mountain bikers, 4WD, dirt bikes and
snowmobiles (winter), the 6 mile Koby Park roads offer beautiful
views of the Elk Mountains, Williams Mountains and Sawatch Range. A
favorite during the autumn, most of this trip does not require 4WD and the
4WD area is fairly well maintained.
From Lenado continue up the 4WD road, #103 which is
sometimes called Christmas Tree Road (because it winds back & forth
across the mountain). |

At the intersection between Roads 103 & 508, keep
straight on Road 508 to Kobey Park (Road 103 travels to Road 526 and heads
to Margy Hut & Mt. Yeckel).
To reach Koby Park roads from Aspen Colorado, travel west
along Highway 82 for 7 miles to Woody Creek turnoff on the right. At the
bottom of the hill and across the bridge turn left to the Woody Creek
Tavern. About 0.25 mile past the tavern make a sharp right onto Road 18
and continue 10 miles to Lenado. From here continue up the road to Kobey
Park. |
