Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland

Available for snowmobile, snowshoeing & cross-country skiing, Jenny Creek Trail travels 1.6 miles to Jenny Creek and 5.3 miles to Yankee Doodle Lake.

Jenny Creek Trail begins to the left (east) of the Ho-Hum chairlift and climbs south along the trees bordering the eastern edge of the beginner's downhill slope and passes behind the top of the ski lift before turning left into the woods.

An alternate, lower route is available here which skirts the edge of the developed Nordic area. Jenny Creek Trail then climbs to an old road, turns left and heads down. Be prepared for a right turn in the middle of the hill. The trail descends across a hill through the woods and at 1.6 miles meets with the old Jenny Creek Road and turns right, upstream along the creek.

Guinn Mountain Trail (right fork) will be reach 0.25 mile up the creek, another 0.8 mile along Jenny Creek Road a 4-way intersection with a cutoff to the Guinn Mountain Trail turning right (north) for a 0.5 mile of steep old road. To the left (south), another old road continues to the Moffat Road. Beyond, Jenny Creek Trail begins to climb steeply for the remaining 2.2 miles to Yankee Doodle Lake.

To reach Jenny Creek Trail travel 0.6 miles south of Nederland along Highway 119 and turn west onto CR 130. Follow the signs to Eldora Ski area. Park off the road by the trailhead sign, just before the parking area for the ski resort.
