Located within Mesa Verde National
Park, the 0.5 mile (round-trip) Farming Terrace Trail begins/ends along
the spur road to the Cedar Tree Tower and travel to a series of prehistoric
check dams built by the Ancestral Puebloans to create farming terraces.
Mesa Verde National Park Headquarters is about a 1 hour drive east of
Cortez Colorado along Highway 160, and about a 1.5 hour drive west from
Durango Colorado along Highway 160.
