Bear Creek Trail #607

Located within the Dolores Ranger District of San Juan National Forest, the 12.5 mile Bear Creek Trail transverses the entire length of Bear Creek to the headwaters, where it intersects the Sharkstooth Trail.

ATVs are NOT permitted due to the narrow width of the trail. Dirt bike/Motorcycles only.

To reach Bear Creek Trail from Dolores Colorado travel 22 miles east along Highway 145. The trailhead is clearly marked on the highway and begins about 0.25 miles upstream (east) from the confluence of Bear Creek and the Dolores River.

Several trails intersect Bear Creek Trail and may be used as alternate access points. The trails include:
