Available for hiking, and horseback riding,
Wason-Wheeler Trail begins just below the Baptist Church property in
Creede Colorado with a steep, hard climb to Inspiration Point. This climb
includes several switchbacks. From Inspiration Point, the trail follows
the ridge between the Dry Gulch & East Willow Drainages. At the head
of Dry Gulch, Wason Wheeler Trail enters a burn area, after which begins a
short climb onto the west end of Wason Park. |

| The La Garita Mountains rise to
the north of Wason Park as the trail approaches it's junction with Farmers
Creek Trail, after which Wason-Wheeler Trail crosses several of the upper
tributaries of West Bellows Creed. The trail goes on to meet up with the
trail which travels through the Wheeler Geologic formations. |
