Located within Colorado National
Monument, the 5.5 mile Black Ridge Trail is the highest trail in the
park and offers views west to Utah canyonlands, east to Grand Valley and
south to the San Juan Mountains.
To reach Colorado National Monument from while traveling west
take Highway I-70 to Grand Junction to Exit 31. Follow signs through
Grand Junction to the east entrance. While traveling east take
Highway I-70 to Exit 19 (Fruita) and travel south 4.0 miles along
Highway 340 to the west entrance.
