Zimmerman Trail #940

and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland
Located within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District, the 11.6 mile
Zimmerman Trail is within Comanche Peak Wilderness. The southern end of
Zimmerman Trail starts at Flowers Trail #939
and travels north to within 0.25 miles of the Poudre River where it ends
at private land. Users starting at the trailhead have the option of
hiking 3 miles south to Flowers Trail, or 8.5 miles north, which is a
bit steeper.

To reach Zimmerman Trail from Fort Collins travel west along CO 14 for
35 miles and turn south onto Pingree Park Road. Continue along Pingree
Park Trail for 4 miles to Crown Point Road. Follow Crown Point Road for
about 19 miles to the end of the road.
