Located within the Canyon Lakes Ranger District, the 4 mile Young
Gulch Trail is popular with both hikers and mountain bikers.
Several stream crossing are located along the lower part of Young Gulch
Trail. To reach Young Gulch Trail from Fort Collins, travel northwest
along US 287 for 11 miles, turn left onto CO 14 and continue 13 miles up
the Poudre Canyon. At mile marker 109, just after passing the Ansel Watrous
Campground, look for a Young Gulch sign on the left and a short dirt
road leading to the parking lot and trailhad.
