Mayflower Gulch #1178

Available for both cross country skiing & Snowshoeing,
the 2.8 mile Mayflower Gulch Road begins traveling up the access road to
the Mayflower Amphitheater and some mining cabin ruins. After reaching the
cabins begin skiing up the open snowfield on the south side of Mayflower
Gulch towards Tucker Mountain. Contour around the hills on the access
road, gradually climbing toward the open drainage of Mayflower Gulch.
After a mile the trail descends easily toward the Mayflower Amphitheater. |

| To reach Mayflower Gulch from
I-70, exit 195 for Copper Mountain/Leadville and travel south along
Highway 91 toward Leadville for 5.3 miles. Trailhead and parking will be
along the left side. |
