White
River National Forest
Following the North Fork of the Crystal until going over
Frigid Air Pass, the 8 mile North Fork Trail passes a large waterfall
about a mile east of Love's Cabin. Along the way the trail passes through
Fravert Basin, a wide, open, scenic valley where views of the back of the
Maroon Bells are available. North Fork Trail begins at the same spot as
Geneva Lake Trail and is gentle until reaching the waterfall, and is again
gentle until the ascent over Frigid Air Pass. The trail may be used as
part of a loop trail connection West Maroon Pass and Snowmass Lake. |
