Lead King Basin Loop Road #315 & 314, Gunnison County Colorado 4WD Trails

Traveling by one of the most photographed locations in Colorado, Crystal Mill, the 13 mile Lead King Basin Loop Road offers spectacular views of mountains, meadows and canyons. Lead King Basin is covered with a large variety of flowers during the Summer, with the majority of them blooming in August.

To reach Lead King Basin Loop Road from Carbondale Colorado, travel south along Highway 133 for 22 miles to the Marble turn-off and vere left. Travel east along Marble road #314 passing through Marble and past Beaver Lake.

The 4WD section begins just past the Gold Pan Gallery. About 1 mile outside Marble the road forks, #315 loops into road #314 at the ghost town of Crystal City. To continue the loop drive, stay on #314 for about 5 miles back to Marble.
