White River National Forest
Located within the Rifle Ranger District, the 5.2 mile
Three Forks Loop is rated moderate. The first 1.5 miles are moderately
sloping but Three Forks Loop becomes more rocky and difficult as it leaves
the stream and increases in elevation. Parking is available at the
trailhead at Three Forks Campground. To reach Three Forks
Loop from Rifle Colorado, travel north along Railroad Avenue (Highway 13)
to Highway 325 and turn right. Continue along Highway 325 past Rifle Gap,
Rifle Falls, and through Rifle Mountain Park. |
