Available for both Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing,
and Snowmobile (first 4.5 miles), the 8.89 miles West Grouse Creek
Trail follows a dirt road for the first 0.25 mile where the road curves
left. Continuing straight along West Grouse Creek Trail a junction with
Grouse Lake Trail is reached at 0.7 miles. West Grouse Creek Trail turns
right and continues on past Waterdog and Olsen Lakes, crossing the north
ridge of Grouse Mountain before dropping down to Turquoise Lakes and the
headwaters of Beaver Creek. |

| To reach West Grouse Creek Trail from Vail
Colorado, travel west along I-70 to exit 171 for Minturn, Leadville,
Highway 24 and turn right (south). Continue along Highway 24 for 1 mile to
the trailhead parking lot on the right. |
