Homestake Road, Eagle County Colorado Cross Country Ski Trails

Available for both Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, and Snowmobile the 10.82 mile Homestake Road offers excellent snow tours due to it's easy grade. Following Homestake Creek, Homestake Road offers several shorter destinations along the route.

To reach Homestake Road from Vail Colorado, travel west along I-70 to exit 171 for Minturn, Leadville, Highway 24 and turn right (south). Continue along Highway 24 for 13 miles to the Homestake Road pullout on the right.
