Eiseman Trail

Available for both Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing,
the 5.8 mile, winter only Eiseman Trail offers great views of the Vail Ski
Area and the Gore Range.
From the gate a Spraddle Creek Ranch, follow the road
north and then east along Spraddle Creek for about 1.8 miles to Eiseman
Trail which is marked with blue diamonds as it gently climbs as it crosses
streams at 0.1 mile, 2.3 miles, 3.3 miles, and 3.7 miles. Eiseman Trail
begins to climb more steeply up switchbacks at mile 4 as it travels up to
Eiseman Hut. |

| To reach Eiseman Trail from I-70
at Vail Colorado, exit 176. On the north side of the interstate turn east
(right) onto Spraddle Creek Road #737. Two parking areas are available.
The first is located 0.1 mile up Spraddle Creek on the left (Forest
Service access parking). Continue east up Spraddle Creek for 0.75 miles to
reach the 2nd parking area. At the Spraddle Creek Estates entrance gate,
take a hard right before the gate and travel 0.1 mile to the Spraddle
Creek Ranch parking area. |
