Last Chance Trail #1945, Eagle County Colorado Hiking Trails

Crossing the creek near it's beginning, the 2.2 mile Last Chance Trail is an easy walk through meadows most of the way and ends at the junction with Tellurium Lake Trail.

To reach Last Chance Trail from Carbondale Colorado, travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt and turn left at the stoplight. Continue along Fryingpan River Road for 27 miles and turn left at road #501 and travel towards Elk Wallow Campground. Approximately 4 miles take the left fork road onto road #506. When 506 (Burnt Mtn. Road) crosses the 1st. stream about 5 miles down, the trailhead is on the upstream side of the road.
