Valdez Trail #717, Conejos County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available for hiking, horseback riding, ATV's & motorcycles, Valdez Trail climbs steeply for the first mile before joining a 4WD road and continues on a gentle descent for 3 miles to Las Flores Lake. Valdez Trail terminates at the Conejos Stock Driveway #720 just south of Las Flores Lake.

Two access points are available for Valdez Trail:

Access #1: Travel west from Antonito Colorado along Highway 17 to Conejos River Road #250. Continue north of FR 250 for 13 miles to the trailhead.

Access #2: From La Jara Reservoir, take FR #249, a 4WD road, 7 miles to Bancos Cow Camp and the junction with the trail.
