New River Trail State Park
Reservations are required.
Walk-in campers are not allowed.
The Cliffview Campground is a trailside campground
overlooking Chestnut Creek and is located in Carroll County near Galax.
The campground is reached by trail only and is one mile north of the
Cliffview Ranger Station. There is ample parking at the trail head for
vehicles, including horse trailers.
All of these sites at Cliffview are primitive tent camping only.

area, fire ring, lantern post, picnic table, accessibility from New River
Trail and non-flush facility
The campground has one handicapped accessible site.
Directions:
Take State Route 58 to Galax Virginia. Go north on SR 887 to Cliffview
Road (SR 721). The parking area is on the left, across from the Cliffview
Mansion and Cliffview Trading Post. |
