Located within
George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, North River
Campground was originally constructed as a CCC camp and is open
year round. Offering 16 campsites, North River Campground has
vault toilets. No drinking water is available.
To reach North River Campground from
Staunton, VA, travel along U.S. 250 to Churchville. Continue
west along U.S. 250 for 10 miles to State Route 715 and turn
right. Follow SR 715, which turns into Forest Development Road
96 for 8.5 miles to FDR 95. Turn right onto FDR 95 for 2.1 miles
to it's intersection with FDR 958 and turn right. Continue along
FDR 958 for one mile to the campground on the left.
