New River Campground, Smyth County Virginia Campgrounds

New River Campground
Located within Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, the 16 site New River Campground is situated a few hundred feet from the New River and the New River Trail State Park. Drinking water is available within New River Campground as is vault toilets and picnic tables. To reach New River Campground from I-81 at Fort Chiswell Virginia, take Highway 52 south to Highway 94 and turn right. Continue south along Highway 94 past Ivanhoe and turn left onto 602. Follow 602 to the dam and turn left onto 737.
